Old people......
HomeyBound, I dont care what color anyone is when they threaten me and my family.
They should not have brought a rice burner to a truck fight, HEAVY on the STUPID.. You are right, it was raciest on part of the cyclist. ALSO you will never have to protect me because I own two pickups, I never leave home without them. JUST SAYIN.

I don't think they were threatened. The Range Rover driver was attempting to pushing his way through into a very dangerous position for a group of motorcyclists. It was a bit of small dick road rage on his behalf.
I've seen automobiles try to do this, attempting to weave or push their way through a group of two wheel ... for what? To get to the next stop light 3 seconds quicker?
From what I saw on the video, the riders were just trying to slow it down and keep it out of the flow of motorcyclists for their safety. The Range Rover driver was attempting to push its way through. The wise thing to have done is just backed off behind the last rider. Bikes move and clear faster.
I'm going to admit I have prejudices here ... which is these types of Range Rover drivers tend to have a "tank driver" mentality. It's a standing joke where I come from. Why else would a Yuppie buy something designed for driving up a mountain and use it in an urban environment?
They seem to come along with an over exaggerated sense of self importance expressed in your sentiments, the right to maim others for life on a whim or paranoia which I condemn. Harley riders are just as vulnerable to such mentality.
If you rode your bike more than trailer it behind your pickups you'd understand how it feels.
They'll be a police investigation and I guess a private prosecution case afterwards.
What shocked me most about this incident was the depth of ridiculous prejudice and blatant anti-biker prejudices it evoked within the media and generally public, and it's surprising to find them even on a motorcycle forum.

Homey bound, Apparently you are looking at a diffrent video than the rest of us, try opening your eyes this time without the prejudice glasses on. Also stay away from pickup trucks, I understand they dont take no slack.
I am not ill with anyone, just stating a fact. Homey is probably a good guy that has a diffrent point of view. Everyone is welcome to their own opinion. Even though I do own a trailor, PEACE Mon
Does the 2nd Amendment also count when *you* did wrong or you were in the wrong, as in you can **** up a whole family's life for the sake of stupidity ... a couple of car lengths in traffic ... and then use lethal force to defend yourself from the ramifications of having done so?
(Mieses was walking away when he was hit from behind by the SUV they say after trying to defuse the situation).
I've seen cage drivers like these. I've even been hit by them. I've even seen them have to race me and get in front when I am on a bicycle, only for me to catch up and pass them at the next lights! There is some irrational, primal emotion that takes over that they have to be and get ahead ahead and they forget they are throwing around several tons of steel at flesh.
What you/s and are demonstrating it. It's some primitive response which is fine when you are both monkeys in a forest with stick at the most but you/s still allow it to take over with 4 ton or semi-automatic weapons.
One thing for sure, Alexian Lien and his family will also be scarred for life by the several seconds of insanity he allowed to possess him and he will carry it too. And if he got whacked for it, I would not give a damn either. I'd think the roads were a safer place.
Back on topic, I've knocked off by a sick old woman who should not have been allowed to drive. I was in the outside of traffic on a main road she wanted to join. She dented my frame inches behind my leg which otherwise would have taken the entire force breaking bone.
After I'd picked myself and my bike up, I confronted her for her insurance details ... which she refused ... and then blamed me, "If you had not been looking at me, may be I would not have hit you". So she not even saw me, she saw my face and eyes as she ploughed into me. (Obviously, I had turned my head right before she hit me. I had absolute right of way).
Unfortunately, to such people as Alexian and her and folks that have just turned up out of developing nations, "might is right" and they don't give a damn about the law.
I "did the right thing" and went to the cop shop to report the hit and run ... and they booked me for some minor, irrelevant infraction because I was stood there, and let her off. They did nothing about it just like with Lien. She could handicapped me and put me on crutches and the Police did nothing ... why, because I was a biker?
Next time ... I hope not ... but why not just put your helmet through their windscreen and make them think in the future?*
Old folks are a real danger. They get tunnel vision. They lack neck mobility. They think slower. Their fast acting peripheral vision goes. Their thinking is rigid or confused. They make bad decisions through indecision ... It's like driving whilst being on a bad trip.
After a certain age they should be tested every year. Same too with other drivers suffering chronic conditions including obesity. Limit them to electric buggies that go at walking speed if they cannot walk to the shops. Walking to the shops is probably what they need to do.
* Of course, there are arguments why not these camera ridden and politically correct days but I think there's a strong argument for 'eye for eye' when dealing with extremely selfish and stupid. Unfortunately, over many decades, my experience of the law such matters is that it is against you even when you are clearly the victim. Correct me if I am wrong.
