...you get a cam gear on a cam!

Slid right on no problem! BTW, you have 2-3 seconds, at best, to make sure your properly aligned!

And, how can you tell if it's aligned properly?

Probably took about 30-45 minutes to fully return to room temp.

As per Comp's instructions. You scribe lines onto the cam gear in relationship to the keyway on the old cam, then match them up to the new cam. There was .003 difference in the width between the two cams keyways, so it's pretty darn close to dead on.

Hmmm. I guess I might give it a try when I rip into mine.....

I was thinking about putting it in my vice and beating it on.....

I did the cam bearing in the same fashion, just to a lesser degree. Froze the bearing in the fridge, and heated the bearing journal in the case w/ a heat gun. Went in with a few light taps using the old cam as an installer. As with the other, haste is a necessity!

Do you have access to liquid nitrogen? I know you can purchase it from industrial gas suppliers, I just don't know how much it is. I get mine for free.

In case your not joking, and are suffering from a SEAFOAM overdose, please don't hammer on your new cam!!
