life expectancy of throttle and clutch cables?????
did i get my moneys worth 20 years??????
You got ripped off mate, I have a 1967 Sporty here that has the original throttle cable...I would go to your dealership and make a warranty claim if I were you....
The only reason I changed my throttle/idle cables was I upgraded to a CV.
Changed the clutch cable for a chrome one that the ball came off in around three weeks what a Drag so have the original back on and will change it again at some point, this time I will keep the old one with the bike so I don't have to wait 2.5 hrs for the OL with the cable.

I've just written on another thread about my new Diamondback clutch cable. Throttle cables don't carry much load, but the clutch does and I was surprised and pleased how much smoother and lighter my new one is.
