If I remember right it took us about a week to get to Hawaii by ship.
It would probably take at least that long to go from there to NZ.

Its not 4k. We did Auckland-LA-Orlando return for 2.5k each. Try expedia or the air nz website.

About 600 each way to ship your bike from LA

Ship and it takes a couple of weeks from when the ship leaves so allow a month in total to be safe. No issues picking up the bike but you will have to pay some bio security inspection fees. Plenty of nude beaches.
