Got my parts to machine shop today and talked with Vic for an hour and a half about what we can do to work with the cam I have . Here is what we decided to do bump comp. up to around 9.5:1 , match flow front and rear cyl. heads and int. (blueprint) , Daytona twin tech ign. , new lifters , bee hive springs if stock springs are no good , new valve guides and 3 angle valve job. Also picked up my original dyno run sheet.
Kinda wondering if I should just pull the bottom end front forks and wiring and clean and paint the frame !

in all seriousness, if you can justify all that, send the frame out for powder coat. it'll be done once, and if done properly, will be damned near scratch proof
I REALLY debated doing it to mine, since I already had the engine/tranny/swingarm out....but then I remembered how much of a pain in the *** it was for me to get the neck bearings JUST right (repacked/all redone 3k miles ago), and how much work the road king nacelle is to strip down (and even MORE parts to keep track of). honestly, I didn't *need* it, just a few small areas that needed rust removal
yea, DO IT. I really wish I had, but I'm too far past that now.
The S&S reed valve does work if that breather bore is damaged, have had one in for several years with a warmed up Evo.
9.5-1 is a safe compression with that cam as mentioned earlier, 36 intake closing is a compression builder, you would be on the edge with 10-1 with temperatures, weight and gas availability. Put the beehives in, the performance bug might get you and jump into the world of wanting a bigger cam, people say they won't but power is a addiction and as long as a female doesn't have a mans nuts in her purse, more power is always an option.
