I have a 95 Road King with the 80 inch Evo engine. Andrews 27 cam, Mikuni 42 carb, Arlen Ness Big Sucker, Dyna 2000 ignition module, iridum plugs, SE wires. Heads are stock. I have 44k on the bike with a top end job done at 25k and its running great. I'm currently running a ful-sac true dual kit with stock headers and unknown brand of muffler with a 1.75 inch baffle, no intention of doing any head work. The kit looks too cobbled for my taste. Bike runs good on this set up, but I want to upgrade to a 2 into 1 exhaust to get the last bit of oomph out of my bike. Any suggestions or experience with this set up would be appreciated. I'm a new member and could benefit from someone else who has been down this road. My bike is fairly loud, a 3 on a scale of 1 to 5 and I like it there. Prefer to err on the side of loud. I had Rush mufflers on it at one time, liked the 2.5 inch baffle but did not have enough back pressure with it. The 2" baffle was too quite for me. Thank you for any help.
Going to get alot of opinions on this one for a 80", the price of a Propipe is hard to beat and can get them used for $300. Thunderheader is a good one in many ways and a Supermeg is adjustable for tuning.
My next 2-1 will be a Drago Dragula, equal runner tubes and makes great numbers, has different baffles for horsepower levels and a fair price
I HAVE a super trap , I got it used from one of my bro in laws came off his 2000 super glide ,& bolted right up to my 94 softail , adjustable power range & sound
I can't speak to the performance of the pipe but I've been researching the same thing and I am pulling the trigger on a Patriot Defender. I've searched this forum and a couple others and they've gotten good reviews. The down side, as I've seen, is the pipe is stainless and will heat up and turn color but stainless can be kept beautiful with a little effort. If you can wait a month, I will let you know what the verdict is.
