Fast idle solenoid
I have a 1997 Ultra Classic with EFI and am trying to finish it up, but have encountered numerous electrical problems. The bike sat outside on a jack wrapped up in about three tarps for 7+ years. My question is "does the fast idle solenoid engage when the ignition and run button are turned on?" When the switch is turned on, the fast idle engages and the fuel pump primes. The fast idle solenoid also cycles when the run button is turned off. All of the lights and gauges are working, but just want to double check before I put the tank back on for the third, maybe fourth time. I have installed new switches, new temperature sensor and a programmable ignition. I have also checked every ground on the bike and cleaned all of the connectors twice. Thanks in advance!

The fast idle solenoid or stepper motor will move at ignition on and reset to needed position and back off according to the signal from the ETS through the ECM, as long as it is moving you are ok
