You don't need them, I don't like them....just one more thing to go wrong....non-adjustable pushrods are a technological advancement over adjustables....why go backwards?

HD has been running these since late '52...a very long time. When I did the install with the EV27 cam on my '88 Heritage, I also included the fully adjustable pushrods. Personal choice since I have two other bikes that use the same configuration.

Step backwards...maybe; does it work...definitely!

No one will ever accuse me of being a techno wizard. Fully adjustable pushrods have some advantage if you going into the cam case in that you do not have to pull the top end off. Think it is a matter preference IMO anyway.

Yup, and I have seen a couple too many sets come undone to risk them...preference should be an informed choice.

Running an EV 27, started out with adjustables, but on two occasions had an adjuster come loose. First time I was lucky, there was no damage. Second time it cost me a lifter. I dug the OEM pushrods out from the bottom of my tool chest and put them back in.

I guess you can say HD has been running these since `52, as long as you ignore the fact that they stopped using them 30 years ago.
