Nope, not ignoring that at all. Valid point. My bikes run the gamit from 26 to 65 years old. On the bikes with adjustable I haven't lost one yet. There could always will be a first time though..
The reason for the change is its cheaper to have non adjustable push rods
BUT always a BUT -- if your going to ASSUME that the 10 or 15 different cam shaft manufacturers are using the exact same numbers, for the base circle distance runout from center line -- and yes only a couple thousants or so is all we have ever found with the cams we checked - for stock or neer stock engines with small camshafts that do not change the dymanics of the engine too much Sure use them -- and an EV 27 is what most run thats fine -
