So, I went out to change my oil the other day. When I went to remove the filter I saw this bulge on my rear tire. God must have been looking out for me because it was just in the right spot for me to see it. I'm now the proud owner of a pair of Metzler 888's.
The tire SPECIALLY designed for Harley Davidson! Right, I'm done with Dunlop. I still have one on the front, but when I change it, that will be the last Dunlop for me. Michelin on the back now.

I just bought a Michelin Commander II a few minutes ago to replace the "HD" Done-lop on my rear. Dennis Kirk has 'em for $128 right now if anyone is looking.
That bubble looks like an impact bruise. Saw them many times when I used to change cage tires for a living.

Aren't those 402's specially reinforced for heavy Harleys? That's what I always thought made them special. Doesn't look like the reinforcement worked well.
Ah... Hell, just let the air out of the Bubble and keep ridding. (Back in the old days.)
HarDlife I have a Michelin Commander II on the back of the Bob-ster (Kraft-tec softail) and it has about 1,300 miles on it and maybe 500 before its History. I like the look of the MC II... the low mileage couldn't be because of the way I ride.
