Those $20/$40 petcocks may work for some but they are junk and will leak because they are not designed with quality in mind. I can say this after 2 different Drag Specialty and one other even more expensive ($60) el cheapos. Time wasted. Much gas spilled.
I now have a $129 Pingel and it's the quaility you want too.
The Pingel has a nylon block that turns to the openings for main and reserve. They are very reliable and will outlast 3 cheap ones.
The cheap ones use a rubber grommet with holes in it. The rubber tends to turn soft with today's gas and melt then leak right out the front of the valve.
This is good advice, thank you. I will spend the money and order a Pingel.
Now just to decide which one! The website I looked at lists about five that will fit my bike, and I honestly cannot tell the difference between them. Seems that brass with chrome finish is the most desirable (Costs the most)
