lol, alright. If it does go out I'll just pop in another battery until I get to TX. I don't think anything is going to happen though. I have a feeling, that like most problems, yes there may be many that post about it on forums, but most are out happily riding with no issues.

South East, Houston. Going to be visiting with family until sometime around April 15th. Thanks for the offer man! If you have that FXR back together maybe we can make a run somewhere.

The stator on my 86' made it to 95K, replaced with the upgrade 32amp ..........

I'm still on my original stator at ~80K. Regulator went at around 70-75K. So, I say ride at and don't worry about it.

Yeah. I saw your other post on another forum about pinched wires causing shorts screwing up stators, and I always inspect wires, especially on this rattle trap. I sure do love it though...

I live in SE Houston. The FXR is damn close. Waiting in the carb to be finished. I have a back up Street Glide to ride ATM though. I'll send you my number

put a regulator in it and take the old one for the ride its the regulator that makes the stator burn up most times -- jz
