Default Screamin Eagle muffler question

Hi guys,

a not so intelligent question I guess, but does anybody know if the old SE slip-on mufflers slash cut, turn out and tapered do produce a different sound on an EVO?

Thanks!

Tapered have a more mellow note than the other two and the turn out are a bit more in ya face than slash cut because of the direction the sound exits. I use the slash cut on my TC as I love the sound and had tapers on my Evo and loved the sound too.

I had the SE slash cuts on my Sporty and they sounded awesome. Maybe the best sounding mufflers I have had.

Yeah, I'll go for the tapered as well. Now i have slash cut but I like it a little more mellow, as Spanners39 explained.

Most pipes are quieter than short shots, except straight shots, the ones that just point at the ground by the tranny....they sound like the end of the world!
