Thanks.

NOS steel body (not made overseas), 6pt roll cage, Ford Racing 5.0L, B cam, GT40 intake/manifold, 65mm TB and MAF, 24# injectors, Ford Racing F150 headers with JetHot coating. Ford T18 truck transmission, 3.15 TeraLow'd Dana 20 Transfer Case. Moser 1 piece axles, 4.56 gears, ARB air lockers front/rear. And a hell of a lot more that would take too much bandwidth to list. Not bragging. Actually it's an example of how the MAW's (Might As Wells) can kill a budget.

I've been working on it on/off since 1996. It was supposed to be a retirement vehicle for me to have fun with. I retired in 2005 and it wasn't done yet. It's become a combination of Christine, Titanic, and The Never Ending Story....

Presently it's in a hot rod shop getting finished. I've got too many irons in the fire to complete the project, as I went back to working full time in 2008. However, I'm also having reservations about someone else working on it. Not to mention the incredible amount of money they charge for labor. At time's I wish I'd just given it away, 'cause sometimes it's best to just cut your losses and walk away. But Christine wouldn't like that.

Sorry for the 'jack....

I believe Chrysler still makes right hand drive Jeeps for export, but I've only seen them in the media.

2011 Grand Cherokee:

2013 Grand Cherokee:

Several lifetimes ago (back in the late 60's-mid-70's), I worked for the Post Office. I would occasionally drive those 'backwards' Jeep DJ's. Also: AMC Matadors with no rear seat and 2wd IH Scouts with only a driver's seat. All with the steering wheel on the right. Now that I recall the era, I purchased one of the AMC's for $200, when the office I worked at got rid of them. Had to take it to the State Police to get it registered, then plated in Michigan, as it was a true Fed car back then. Drove it for a few months and sold it at a small profit.

Man... That was a long time ago.

Not for one second.

TD spends more on cleaning/detailing products in a week, than I've spent in the last twenty years. Then there's the whole SeaFoam addiction...

Thumbs up

Even you chaps use right-hand drive Jeeps! Postmen and newspaper 'boys', that I've seen. But we also get rhd drive Chryslers over here, such as the 300C and Voyager. We even get Chryslers that are rebranded Lancias and an increasing range of Chevrolets although some are probably far-Eastern in origin, but we do have a small 4-wheel US rhd presence.

Rural mail carriers like to use RHD Wranglers, and I believe they are still available new in the US. I see one at an auto auction every once in a while.
