the USA gave up driving buckboards long ago BUT some still cant lose old habits

That is a really nice looking restoration! Love those military jeeps. Unfortunately they weren't designed for my body size.
Gun 'mount' will be in the back of mine also. But instead of the .30 MG (I wish), or a 106 recoiless:
it'll be a couple of scabbards for hunting rifles.
