Looks like later model heritage style bags. Unless you like losong horsepower, you might think about something other than straight pipes.

No motor work done? How many miles on the bike. Leaking base gaskets are the first thing that comes to mind.

Neglected outdoors? Bad tires, dried seals perhaps as well.

Price seems okay but for a non-runner I woud at least try to get some bucks knocked off the price.

Please let us know how it turns out.

Let me be the first to know if you don't want those bags.

I guess I need to clarify a couple of things . I'm no newbie to Harley's. I was looking for info specific to the 85 & 86 Wide Glides. Stuff like other seats don't fit etc. specific issues to this year/model. Yes, I know drag pipes kill low end horsepower and if I can't get it running the price will be adjusted. Thanks for everyone's input

They are Boss Bags with easy brackets and I won't be keeping them. If I buy the bike, I'll let you know

Let us know if you get it. I have a good set of schematics and plenty of experience with that model. You'll have fun learning how to kick that one over. Impress your friends and scare women and small children.

I would like to here it run for $4k, gave $4200 for my '89 fxstc, was kept inside but hadn't ran In a while, was a little rough cosmetic wise, guy charged the battery and it fired up, pucked a bunch of oil out the breather tube, (wet sumped) and I took it home. Motor has had work done, not sure what but most bolts have been wrenched on and it runs really strong.
