Here are some pics from the craigslist post. It looks MUCH better in the pics than it really is but he only wants 4 grand for it. Those bags and wheels will be the first to go
Let me be the first to know if you don't want those bags.
I guess I need to clarify a couple of things . I'm no newbie to Harley's. I was looking for info specific to the 85 & 86 Wide Glides. Stuff like other seats don't fit etc. specific issues to this year/model. Yes, I know drag pipes kill low end horsepower and if I can't get it running the price will be adjusted. Thanks for everyone's input
I would buy it even if not running thats part of the fun for me get it running no matter what it takes at least when you are done you know what you got
Let us know if you get it. I have a good set of schematics and plenty of experience with that model. You'll have fun learning how to kick that one over. Impress your friends and scare women and small children.
I would like to here it run for $4k, gave $4200 for my '89 fxstc, was kept inside but hadn't ran In a while, was a little rough cosmetic wise, guy charged the battery and it fired up, pucked a bunch of oil out the breather tube, (wet sumped) and I took it home. Motor has had work done, not sure what but most bolts have been wrenched on and it runs really strong.
