Back in the day, I knew a guy with a bike like that, shovel with about a 96" stroker kit. He'd run 140+ down the road with the crotch rockets. He was a tad... unbalanced. No driver's license. Actually was in jail nights for driving without a license. They'd let him out during the day so he could go to work. He'd ride that monster bike to the jail and park it outside. He had some really nice art work done in Huntsville (TX) before that while on an extended stay....

Does any body know any production numbers for the 85 Wide Glides. If I'm not mistaken this is the 1st year of the EVO in a 4 speed frame and I'm told not allot were made. Might help me decide whether to restore or chop it

I stripped off the unneeded chrome that was badly rusted. Washed her up to get rid of the gunk and fired her up. The idle was high and prone to stalling, re set the S&S carb to factory settings and now she is running right. The battery had a bad ground connection so I'm waiting for the battery to charge back up so I can make sure the charging system is good. Next up, change all the fluids and plugs. Happy, happy, happy

Thanks, she's got a long way to go yet before she looks as good as my 92 Heritage.

Here's a 1980. I think that this is the best paint scheme HD ever came up with. I like the old school black and flames look.
