Prmary oil level

I hope tomorrow to button up the primary.
I believe the manual calls for 32oz. of oil ( manual not in front of me right now).

How fussy is it about oil is an oz. more, or less going to be bad thing?

It isn't critical but try to put the right amount in.

Just fill it to the bottom of the clutch hub.

With the bike upright, fill the case until the lube touches the outside diameter of the clutch shell.

I've always filled mine to the level indicated in my service manual. The manual says 32 oz., but to bring it to the recommended level (touching the edge of the clutch spring plate), my bike actually takes 40 oz.

I recommend you fill by level, not by quantity, as this seems to vary somewhat.
