Rigid frame swap
This is Kansas cousin...... If you can keep it at highway speed, they'll title it here!
You don't even need to do any welding, a Softie looks like a rigid so you can just replace the shocks with rigid bars and when the Mrs starts to **** blood you can swap the shocks back and save your relationship.
You see mate, people rode rigids back in the day because they had to.....you gotta be nuts to ride one today. Maybe OK for bar hoppers but back then we even envied those with plunger frames, thought they had it good!.....just my 2 cents....nostalgia just ain't what it used to be....

Fab Kevin, Irish Rich and Fritz Saint Marie are the first few names that come to mind and all of them perform the work. Hard-tail the softie frame and keep the vin. Hide the numbers on the newer frame and cut the neck and keep the I.d. in the saddlebags at all times.
The Softail frame is windowed already and would like really nice with a Frisco or a peanut tank, heck even a Wassel track would like nice on the backbone. You'd have to really chop up the electrics and hide what remains to make a nice looking chop outta the Softail.
I for one would love to see it!

If you want to keep your title, then two words. Fab Kevin for hard tailing the stock frame. If you want an aftermarket frame I can't say anything bad about all the paughco ones I have owned
