I rotated the cam in the cam chest before re-installing tappet blocks and after without pushrods. The
lifters seemed to roll easily
at that time. I rolled the no.1
after installing pushrods. It
ran well tonight. I called
Andrews three times at least
to request their
recommendations for
clearances at rear of cam
chest and lower tappet
structures but was dissed by
Andrews staff "tech support"
to the point that I had to tell
them to F- off.
Unprofessional conduct by
Gary whomever that turd is.
They said if it clears what
are you worried about. Well
when I open the cam chest
up tomorrow there better not
be any scraping on my cam
lobes because, lets just say they will wish they had put
more effort in their response.
Hope not.
Thanks for suggestions. I took each step separately and felt comfortable firing her up. I wanted all along to have accelation in my hand to the point that I would not use it all because I did not know what would happen. I am there with a sense of accomplishment and seat of pants holding on for dear life. This is an upgrade that i definitely am thrilled about.
I'm glad you got her running. Do you have any specs on the springs in them 127 heads? Customer support is hit or miss these days. Sometimes you have to ask for another body if communication isn't working.
no damage or stress on cam nor body of chest/tappet guides. So what is this vibration I have now. I will redo final drive belt including idling for 4 to 5 seconds with mounts on but not tight. Also going to check torque value of comp nut. I mean redo that also because you cant check too tight or to much pre-load.
