Under full throttle it feels like the power drops off at 4500rpms. Pulls hard at 4000 then no juice 4500+
Found this on google. Looks like I must have picked the wrong module this one looks like it's less advanced than my stock p curve. Spanners was this the one you used or did I completely misread when I searched this.
Not sure, I get mine from a guy who used to race a Sporty and they come with a heap of different part numbers....some come from a Buells and have 883 on them!
A Sporty red lines at 6200rpm so you shouldn't experience any drop off in power with the module unless you have it timed or jetted wrong.
All of which is possible. What's marked on your module for a part number I'll see if I can figure it out. 4000 pulling hard, 4500 flat out of juice
I don't have an Evo any more, it got written off by a retarded redhead with an IQ of 6....so I can't tell you but regardless of which module you use from a Sporty it shouldn't go soft on you from 4500rpm.

Sounds like the stock cam to me... them things are anemic.
Going to have to get it on the highway this week. I don't Got WOT much but I though it pulled through 5. I have both modules so can swap plugs on the road. Ordered a jet kit too from cvp
Swapped the ignition plugs back to the stock P curve and installed the cvp kit getting rid of the dynojet main, emulsion and needle. Installed new plug wires. Seems to start easier. One carb fart coming off idle on a ride but no backfiring. Went WOT from a dead stop pulls to 4500 then flat. Odd, swear I pulled hard through redline before.
Learned some things about timing tonight. Apparently to time the bike with the module I have you have to set it at 1000-1400 rpms to 20 degrees advance then when it gets over 2000 at some point the module advances it fully. I had it set to 27 degrees at 1400 or less and the mark from when I bought it was set to 15 or so. I reset it to 20 degrees and it's dead on now from 1000-1500 rpms when it starts changing the curve. The manual must vary based on model year and ignition module curve used which is why I couldn't get it set with everyone's help it would never advance far enough unless I hit the correct max rpm/advance point.
