Default FXR exhaust fitment

Found some new take off pipes on C'list, says they are from a '94 Dyna (lower left)
They look like they might fit my '86 FXR ??
Anybody know for sure?

It will fit on the engine but the mounts to the frame may not line up. You can cut and weld tabs fairly easy enough. I can't fabricate worth a damn so I wouldn't buy it expecting it to be a spot on fit.

Cool, thanks. Cant pass these up. Not too often you find 'like new dealer take offs' from 20 years ago...

Being the the FXR & Dyna have entirely different frames, I highly doubt that the mounting tabs would be a direct bolt-on fit. But that's just speculation on my part.

You could go to some of the Exhaust MFGs web sites and see if they list the same part numbers for both bikes of their various pipes.

Being the the FXR & Dyna have entirely different frames , my 94 soft tail has a different frame then the 2000 dyna ,& the pipes swapped over plug & play style , no drilling or hammer work of any kind , the pipes makers just want you to buy more of there junk , the pipes I swapped out to from the 2000 dna was a super trap 2-1 ,I used there brackets , Super trap said they wont fit I need to buy a different set up for the soft tail Evo

I'm interested by this. The Softail exhausts are rigid mounted to the engine and frame. The fltr has the exhaust mounted to the engine in more or less the same fashion but is strapped to the frame so movement is allowed, some movement.
Cowboy, did you just strap/clamp the pipes to the swingarm and the frame in two different points?
Thanks,
Tom

Tom , they bolted up just like the factory set up did , all supper trap mounts , from My bro-in-laws 2000 Dyna , he bought a new set just like the old set after he redid his engine ( he went to a 95 in & cams after 61k miles ) & the old set up was just setting in the corner of the shop here & I ask to see if they would fit after sending super trap a email , But yes it was a plug & play deal
