Sure it will, the problem is being able to get a wrench on it and turn it. I'm looking at mine, and the only way I can see it happening is to remove the oil tank first.
Bluharley, unlike your dresser, the Softail has an oil tank sitting right on top of the transmission. That and the starter motor block any practical access to the neutral switch.
