kieth black pistons were junk years ago and some like me still feel that way today - when they had issues and being in a shop they acted like you did something incorrect

10 to 1 with todays gas in a mistake some run that compression all the time SO they say in my shop we will not install them - you can go somplace else - then come back when that dident work out as you thought

the andrews 45 cam is barkie and loud with straights and 9 1/4 to 1 it also like the ultima ignition and a mikuni carb - that combo we have maybe 50 running around and never see them hurting parts and b hive valve springs rubber valve seals - performance valves -- jz

In a light bike it will live with proper fuel on it, heavy bike in hot weather with this compression will need spot on timing and fuel or will rattle. Dropping back to 9.5-1 is safer in todays world unless you love to tune bikes.

KB pistons are junk IMO
a ev46 cam needs 10:1 compression or it will be real soft on the bottom end.
with 10:1 pistons and .030 head gaskets your corrected compression will be around 9:1 with that cam. for a good street engine I try to shoot for 9.5:1 corrected compression. so for the ev46 cam I would use wiseco 10:1 pistons
.030 head gaskets and mill the heads to 80cc with zero deck height
and like john said you will need a good ignition.
