Default S&S Carb On EVO
Putting S&S E on the EVO chopper. Do I need to use a brace? Do I need to use a fiber block between the manifold and carb?

yes you do need a brace. and yes you need a fiber block it keeps you from boiling the gas out of the carb when it hot.

to gain leg clearance we have installed them with out the spacer - double the gasket and use atv on them

the engines center bolt between the cylinders can be used a support for the carb instead of the cross bracket, they make them for strokers and the center bracket is adjustable up and down to level the carb to the engine at 90*

When I put mine on my EVO I just used what came in the kit.
I don't know what brace you are talking about.
I did use the fiber block though.

I got a steal of a deal on a used unit, so no kit.

First of all, the S&S Super E is my favorite carb for Harley. I use the included fiber block spacer but, I have never used the bigger spacer. I dont use an extra brace and haven't needed that. The S&S air cleaner bolts to the heads so, there's no moving around with that carb. It all fits in there nice and tight.
