Just curious.
Which model(s) and year(s) would be considered best in terms of performance and dependability?

91-94 spline shaft trans and better starter ect.

If you could find 99-2000 CVO they have all the late year EVO "upgrades". They also had 4 piston calipers.

Performance wise it's an EVO so you already know what can be done there. The major thing is the strength in the frame , but it still takes good suspension to put it over the top in handling.

As for that exact model I'm not 100% sure. I think it was (FXRS , FXRSP , FXRP?).

Right off the top of my head, the FXRS-SP, FXRS-CON, and the FXRP all had dual discs. Probably a few others also...the touring versions, FXRT, etc.

I believe the Shovelhead powered '82 and '83 FXRS had dual discs also, as did the 2000 FXR4.
