As my first cruiser and my first Harley Davidson. Picked up a 1997 One Owner, 11566 original mile Dyna Convertible. This is my first cruiser (coming off of jap rockets) and am damn glad its in Evo model Dyna. Love everything about the bike and am slowly making it how I want it.
The bike is a close to new as a 97 could be.
Since purchasing have put a 1000 miles on the bike as well mustang seat, luggage rack, sissy bar bag, and 12 inch apes.
One question for the masses. The original Dyna-Convertible bags are in like new shape, but I want to change the studs from black to chrome. Have searched the forums as well as google and zero info on how to do this.
Thanks,
Troy

Reason: Info
The mounting studs for the bags are unobtanium! Trust me, I have looked.
The one time I found them they wanted like a $100 bucks used.
I thought about getting someone to mill some in stainless, but, don't know too many machinists any more. My buddy the machinist got deported...there is only so many times you can get into trouble nowadays and then they send your azz back to where you came from if your not a US citizen.
I know what some people say about the dyna, but I really enjoy mine. It just feels right!
