I Have 98 FLHRCI what octane do you guys try to run?

Premium only in my 97FLSTC.....

The local BP stations have ethanol-free, 91 octane. That's what I've been putting in my FXR.

premium 93, unless I use ethanol free, then its 91.. Honestly, you should be fine with anything that doesn't ping.. The rating is just that, a burn rate which helps to control the tendency to knock.. I simply do it because, I'd rather lean to the safe side for hot days and neither of my bikes are stock.. I don't care about the cost since its double the mileage of my truck anyhow.. Depending on the bike, you may also notice better mileage on a particular octane too..

Standard compression bike will run fine on regular.

I run 87 or 89... no need to run premium with stock CR.

And your 96 inch twinkie is fuel injected and is running on a higher CR than a stock evoglide.
