Please don't tell me you are just now realizing that!!!!!!!!!!
Keep thinking there is hope but realizing that only a miracle is the answer, I mentioned last year that in hunting the abnormal males are sometimes removed to keep the genes strong to produce larger animals, TD must be one fast SOB on foot to survive this long because I know he couldn't hide with that ugly Yamasuki and a Harley running on 1 cylinder is a easy ambush.

I don't think he is fast.
I think TD has a very good ghillie suit!!!!!!!!!
The cause is that it starts idling below the vacuum necessary for the VOES to close. I have a switch on mine between the VOES and the ign module. I can drop out the VOES with the switch which drops the timing back for a great potato. I use it when I am around the EFI Twin Cam guys. They just roll there eyes at me.

When at a stop sign with it in gear I just let the clutch out enough to drag the engine down and it'll do it nice...
There is a whole generation of Harley riders out there that don't even know they used to the "Superglide, Superglide" rumph that they all turn their heads and wonder what's wrong. I just smile and accelerate away!
Hey Blackflst; Don't know what year yours is so not sure if this will be the same. On my 99 there is a violet/white that goes from the VOES to #6 on the ignition modiule plug. I just cut that wire and wired a single pole single throw switch to those two wires and mounted it on a homemade bracket that is bolted on with my horn. It is mounted just in front of the horn so I do have to reach down to operate it, but that is no problem. Makes an EVO sound just like a Knuckle at idle. That violet/white wire is in the wiring harness under the seat on the left side of the frame on mine.

I just looked and I do have a violet wire with a white stripe under the seat going into the ignition module. I will try it when I get home.

That should be the one. It is neat to play with. I love to turn mine off at long stop lights or when I am parking the bike. I do have drag pipes which adds to the fun.

. What's your idle set at before you flip the switch? Mine drops to 500 and stalls when it's disconnected. I'm at 900 normally
