91 electra glide oil issue

Default 91 electra glide oil issue
my motor pukes oil out the overflow tube on start up... any ideas on what my issue is?

It's called wet sumping....... common on bottom breathing EVOs. Messy, but not a problem. Ride more.

It is probably what is known as "wet sumping" where the oil is leaking by the check ball in the oil pump and draining into the crankcase. What most do is reseat the check ball. Just do a search for wet sumping.

thanks guys, it makes sense since I have it all torn apart and haven't rode in a while...

What he said. Oil's just seeping past the check ball back into the crankcase. Could just be a little trash on the seat.
