Rear lever is a tght fit to get to.
If it was the rod it self, you’d probably be stranded. So I assume it aint it
It's not specifically mentioned in the FSM, but to replace is pretty straight-forward. Disconnect the link-rod, undo the clamp screw on the inner lever and carefully jiggle the shaft out, using the shifter lever. Check an on-line parts website.

In this case, there was never a resolution posted. What was the problem?
Post should have been either deleted or updated with a fix.
I once had an issue with a seased heim joint that left me straded. The fix was a better quality heim joint than what I had previously used.
Luckily it was an easy fix that didn’t require me to disassemble the primary
