I have the same issue with my cam as does my riding buddy with a 57H. It is an echo off of the throttle body butterfly, more of a cluck than a knock and it is caused by the cam overlap. It's the price you pay for the great performance of that cam design. A football AC cover will help, but different pipes won't do a thing.
Thanks for the reply rockajet1. I called fuel moto and they told me the same thing. I pulled the oem football cover off my wife's bike and went for a ride, what a difference as the noisy clucking was muffled down to something I can live with. Unfortunately for me as I like my naked air cleaner I will be returning to the football style cover.
