Putting a Supertrapp Supermeg on my new FXDL-S and am looking for a starting number of discs on an otherwise stock motor. Came with 20 disks, which is what I had on my 103 FXDL which was dyno tuned. However I suspect that the tuner didn't bother with changing the number of disks. I'm waiting until its first oil change at 1000 before I dyno it, and I have a starting tune I got from dynojet for a 110 with a 2:1. Told them it was a supermeg, but I can't say the tune is any more then for a generic 2:1 pipe.
So for an otherwise stock SE110 motor, should I leave the 20 disks? Or is there a better number?
We used 24 plates on somewhat built motors as a starting point so I'm guessing you're in the ballpark.
Unfortunately you need a dyno for what you want to do. You add plates to see power increases while watching for torque to start to drop. Sometimes you need to remove plates.

Cool, thanks. Definitly going on the dyno once I find a shop that'll actually tune the pipe along with the ECM.
