top end noise
in jan i purchased a new 07flstc, i love the bike. i started getting some tapping after about 1200 miles and took it the hd dealership. i've had numerous hd's and know that they chatter, that's their nature. but this is more than a chatter. the tech said he put a stethoscope to it and didn't hear anything out of the ordinary?. i purchased a stethoscope and true enough when the bike is sitting and even if i blip the throttle i really can't hear anything, but when i ride it the tap is there and when i graba bunch of throttle i get a loud hard clinking noise? doesn't hd have more advanced techinques to trouble shoot a problem besides a stethoscope? i want to fix this before something catastrophic happens

That problem is easily solved with one of our cam support plate/ cam covers. The issue is pinion shaft whipping in the factory cam plate which whips air into the oil and causes a hydrology loss in the lifters making them noisey.
