I am wondering if anybody has installed the Screamin' Eagle 103 C.I. Stroker kit yet? The kit comes with 4-3/8" stroker flywheel, 3-7/8" big bore cast pistons & cylinders, Screamin' Eagle 103 cylinder heads, SE-253 camshafts. Before I spend the $$ to install this kit, I would like to know if anyone has done this kit, and any results in torque (especially passing power) have been achieved. My Dealer says I should also nstall the Racer Tuner ECM, for optimum power tuning. This kit is suppose to bring the engine up to the CVO Screamiin' Eagle bikes 1690cc..... What I am really trying to accomplich is more mid-range passing power. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated!!!!
You will get your passing power plus some if your mechanic knows what he is doing. The 95 in kit will also. The race tuner is a must to get the proper hp and torque. You have to get your fuel ratio adjusted properly to achieve what you want and the race tuner is the way to go. A good mechanic can make a few changes in the 103 setup that will get you more power. If it says "for off road use only" that's what you want to put in it. Nothing like a 103 cu in dirt bike off road racer.
The 103 kit is ok but dont think you are going to have a bad mother of a ride they are ok at best. Most 95 with head work and cams will be running right with you, There is a 98 inch kit where you do not have to buy a crank and it will out perform the 103 SE kit. Run a 98 cam head work and save the extra cash and go for a long weekend on the new engine!!
THe kit is a set of new cylinders, and forged pistons and head gaskets and rings , pins, clips
I just posted on a VERY basic build I did and the numbers it made 97 tq at 2500 and rose from there. I have a banner coming soon . I sell the kit drop me a line or visit the web page and e-mail from there www.gmrperformance.com
