Just picked up an 07 Wide Glide. I am looking to purchase the Screamin Eagle exhaust since that was on my Sporty. How hard is it to do this install on my own. It looks pretty straight forward. I can turn a wrench and have plenty of common sense.
Any tricks or things to look out for?

Never hurts to have an extra hand available...take your time...follow the destructions...always use new exhaust gaskets...use a torque wrench...REMOVE ALL FINGERPRINTS WITH WINDEX BEFORE STARTING...recheck torques on all fasteners after first ride and a couple hundred miles later.

I think you will be disapointed with the 07 Screaming Eagle exhaust. They are not the same anymore. You will be happier with something like the Rush slip-ons. Don't ask me how I know.

I was able to buy them through my local HD dealer and put them on myself. It's very simple just take out the two bolts on the bottom of each muffler, loosen the clamps and the stock mufflers will slide right out. I reused my camps but I know some people recomend new ones. As far as the warranty I let my dealer re race tune the bike and the told me I am ok. We will see if something happens.
