My 1200C has Screamin Eagle exhaust- it was on when I bought the bike.
How to other products compare when it comes to sound and performance? Vance & Hines, Bassani etc
If Harley is selling it , then it has to be EPA compliant by law , it will have all the pollution goodies inside . You can do alot better with American made mufflers like Vance and Hines , forget that Harley made Asian junk !
Are you talking Screaming Eagle SP (street performance) or Screaming Eagle II?
The old "not street legal" SEII have a great sound, the new SE SP is hardly any louder than the stock pipes and is a complete waste of money IMHO.
SEII as mentioned above are great pipes. I had SEIIs on my 2011 XL1200L before replacing them with Rush. I also purchased Bassani's but it did not have the crossover ports on the slip-ons for the stock crossovers/mounting bracket so I returned it.
I ended up with Rush 3" slip-ons. You can purchase different diameter baffles to vary sound. I had 2.25" (largest diameter) and it was loud with a deep low tone. I also had TTI's W158.
The old good ones will have a screaming eagle II script on the rear muffler and on the bottom of the muffler will be a "not for road use" warning stamp.
They came in straight cut, slash down and balognie cut.
