I have the SE Stage 1 air cleaner and my Fuelpak, but my V&H slip-ons are on backorder until the end of the month. I was going to put everything on at one time, but there's rain in the forecast and I've got parts itching to be put on... you can see where this is going.
Question: Can I put the Fuelpak on now to save time when the slip-ons come in? I thought maybe leaving the settings on all zeros on the Fuelpak would essentially make it invisible to the bike's ECM. Any thoughts? Also, would it be bad to put on the new air cleaner before I have the pipes and can tune it with the Fuelpak. Thanks in advance.
just find the settings for just the A/C and set it to that for now, and reset it when you get your pipes. the A/C makes more of a difference than the exhaust will. so just set it twice
I can't find any settings for stock pipes. All settings assume a high performance air filter along with a variety of pipes, but no stock mufflers. Am I missing it somewhere? Bike is an 06 FXDBI by the way. Thanks.
Itâs at the beginning of the sheet, the pipes say âstandardâ. You can always bolt it on and tuck the wires under the ECM and then plug it in after the parts are installed.
Well I still don't see it. I see standard baffles (as opposed to quiet), but only on aftermarket pipes. I sent an email to tech support at V&H, so hopefully I'll hear something back from them.
Hey, my slip-ons are on back order, too! I hope I get mine first.
Try looking under other Other Manufacturer's Exhaust with Stock Engineforthe SE Street Perf Slip-on Mufflers. If these are what I think they are, they should be very close to stock mufflers.
Yeah, I think the SE mufflers for the 2006dynas are the ones that are not much louder than stock. So probably not much more flow than stock. Just guessing.
Not to be confused with the discontinued but still findable SE II mufflers which are louder and more free flowing.
I ordered my straighshot HS slip-ons on May 16th. When didyouorder yours? Doesn't matter. Mine are still coming in first!
Well, I originally ordered them a couple weeks ago and was told they were backordered. I found them for not much more elsewhere, ordered them, and cancelled my original order. Several days later the second place tells me they too had them on backorder. Now I'm back at the original place. Ordered 31 May. So, yeah, you'll probably get yours first.
