Crankcase whining!! HELP!

Default Crankcase whining!! HELP!
When my RK warms up I notice a whining sound coming from near crank. I thought it might have been the tranny (or maybe clutch), but not sure. It seems that when I am riding, whenever I pull in the clutch lever the whining stops. It is almost a squeeking whining sound. Anyone have any idea what this could be? Crank bearings? Any help would be great! Thanks!

sounds like a tight primary chain or possible loose compensator nut to me

What year RK ? When you pull in and the noise goes away is it in gear or in netural?

It is a 2001. It is in gear when I hear this noise.

Its hard to diagnose a noise with out hearing it but the only thing that changes from clutch engaged to clutch disengaged is the main shaft bearing in the inner primary.

Another thought is when you pull the clutch in your unloading the trany and rear wheel...there is another area to look at.
