CFR Tips remove

CFR Tips remove

My 08 Street Glide has CFR exhaust and the tips are riveted onto the mufflers. I want to replace them with something else. Can i just drill the rivets out and remove and replace. Chrome is peeling off the tips.

They are held on with the 3 rivets and black silicone, yes you can remove them and have them re-chromed or refinished. Get in touch with Gaye at CFR and she can send you new rivets if you can't find them locally...

I drilled the rivets and used a rubber mallet to remove the tips. Be careful as the aluminum is soft. I replaced the tips using chrome button head screws.
