I am scheduled to go buy a 2017 ultra limited low tomorrow from an individual. It is all stock except a 3.5 or 4 inch Rinehart exhaust. I was told they also have the stock exhaust for it. I am concerned that the Rinehart exhaust or slip ons would void engine warranty. It has a year left on that manufacturer warranty. It only has 1400 miles currently and I believe the exhaust is fairly new to the bike. Any insight as to pipes/slip ons and warranty for newer bikes would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
Thank you. I have had people tell me before that you cannot change exhaust, but a dealer recently told me that as long as you dont mess with the engine, tune or electrical system, then it wouldn't void warranty. which is another issue as I love having LEDs on my bike and hate to pay a dealer to install what I can do correctly.

Head over to the M8 Forum. Your answer is in there...I think.
IMHO before I'd buy any M8, I'd call the dealer with the VIN and ask for the background of the bike to see if its on the list already...and the service history
Without boring you with the billion posts, could it void the powertrain warranty... header=yes; slip-ons=probably no(lolol)
a Bazillion pre-owned bikes out there..and 19s are comin out shortly..so hopefully its a killer deal...

If its just slip ons, no. If its headers and slip ons, yes.
As mentioned, if you don't mess with the catalytic converter (in the header collector) you are generally fine re. warranty. Remove the cat, or tune the ECU and no warranty for you. The only tune that will not void warranty is the SEPST tuner 'cause it won't let you do anything illegal from an EPA standpoint.
When I purchased my 2018 Ultra Limited, I was told the slip ons would not void the warranty but I had to buy their slip ons! They had the Rinehardts and V & H. Luckily, I talked them into throwing them in on the deal. Chose the V & H 4". Sounds OK but wanted the classic Harley rump. One of the Service Techs told me the M8 would not give me that sound due to single cam so that kinda sucks. I was also informed that if I did change the headers or remove the cat, warranty goes bye bye.
