Default Slip-On help

just bought a new set of cobra RPT Slip-Ons and the service manual shows a muffler gasket but when I took off the stock muffler there was no gaskets and no where in the cobra instructions does it show gaskets when I went to Harley to pick them up they didn’t have them in stock so they ordered them. Do I need gaskets to install Slip-Ons? I have a 2017 Softail Slim

No - the only gaskets would be for the pipes to the heads or the crossover pipe connection - neither of which will come part for slip ons.

Actually they do. The gasket goes between the exit end of the head pipe and the inlet end of the muffler. Here's a picture of my slip ons with gaskets installed. Without these you will have some serious exhaust leaks. Some after market slip ons do not need these. Sounds like yours need these.
