Default Stage 1 Question

With a stage 1 download and air cleaner will I have to flash the ecm, add a power commander or DFO to add V & H big shot staggard pipes?

The stage one flash is calibrated for HD parts but will be close for the pipe install (but still lean). My .02 is to go with the DFO anyway. It will run much better then because of the lean settings in the stage one flash.

Normally the stage one download would cover the exhaust also

Bypass the download and go with some sort of programmer instead.

I have an ’07 FLHR with SE II mufflers and would like to installed my newly purchased AN BS stage 1 air kit. Since I’ve got an opportunity to get a free download (due to bulletin), what curve would you recommend I request to compliment the air kit and help keep my ride AFR in check?

Thanks,

Em …

The 0903 download (bulletin)is not sufficient enough for stage 1. That's not what it's for. In addition to that download you either need the stage 1 download or add a suitable tuning device such as a PC111, SERT or others. You can choose not to do the 0903 but you will still need a tuning device or stage 1 download.
I don't recommend the stage 1 download as it will still be too lean in my opinion.
