Cycle Shack Exhaust - input please
Am considering puting Cycle Shack pipes (2" O.D. stepped pipes for my 106 " motor) on my ride. Currently have VH Big Shot Staggered. Can anyone give some input as to the quality of these pipes and the sound (fit finish, loudness, and tone - deep rumble, etc.). Thanks in advance.

I have the Cycle Shack mufflers on my bike. If your looking at the mufflers, then know this Cycle Shack does not deal with the consumer. Their regular mufflers are a bit loud and get somewhat irritating at highway speeds under load. If your looking for deep rumble, you might get it with the quiet baffles.You must buy the quiet baffled mufflers and then get the louder baffles later, they don't sell the quiet baffles any more. They are only available in the original purchase mufflers. I've had my fill of Cycle Shack and their crappy customer service.

Have the 2" tapered pipes on my 103 FXDXT; I like the "stock" look; the sound is a bit loud but tolerable (I have a police sergant across the street and he figures they're OK) and the quality is good, but not quite as nice as Khrome Werks pipes which I used on 3 previous builds (also tapered stock style). Khrome Werks discontinued their AR100 2" pipes; so I went with Cycle Shack... would buy them again in a heartbeat; got them thru Drag Specialties, I believe. I hear them as deep; not "crackly" like some pipes I've heard; really sing at full throttle!
