I installed Rinehart slimline duals on my 16 RGS. The bracket underneath the tranny snapped. Basically there’s enough there to guide it, but it’s not holding the pipe up. All the other brackets are fine.
How does that affect things? It’s been like that for awhile I’d imagine. Just noticed when I put the bike up. I haven’t ridden much (new job and new baby slowed me down on that end for a bit).
Ironically I still have the bracket from the stock pipe but it’s a flat oval so can’t use that one.
As suggest, replace it. However take care to ensure that the system is not under any stress as you tighten things up. In my modest experience it takes time and care to ensure the system is installed 'just so'!
Cool thing is Rinehart sent me a new clamp last week - no charge! Saved about $20. I think it was the end of the day and he didn’t want to deal with a credit transaction. I’ll swap It out this weekend.
