A friend just ordered these for her Deluxe. After I put them on I will report back with her impressions.

Yep, I did this on a set of duals I just sold. See attached thread for pics. I used DEI wrap on the rear headpipe and it made a significant difference with the heat.

I watched the D&K video on their titanium wrap. They said if you get the pipes wet, the wrap will soak up the water. But if you ride within a day or so, it will dry out and you should not have rusting. He stated that if you wash the bike, ride within the next day or so and the exhaust will dry out the wrap....same for riding in the rain. But if you let it sit for a week or so, then rust would be a concern.
My question to those who have applied a wrap.... did you have to remove the pipes? Or can you wrap pipes after removing the covers?

I did my 08 Heritage without removing the pipes. Had to remove the heatshields, obviously.
Yes, if the wrap ever gets wet I will be sure to run the bike until it's dry.

Installation of the DEI heatshield liners is complete. A pre-cut kit for her deluxe was not available so she got the large, universal package. From start to finish the install took me four hours...not difficult, just lots of tedious cutting and fitting. There was some mild smell when it first started but that didn't last long at all.
Here is her opinion after one ride:
"I think they helped. At higher speeds. Lower were still hot. Hard to compare without a side by side comparison. But glad they are there."

Not a glowing review but they did appear to help with the felt heat.
