Absolulty nothing, its all but common with a carburated bike. Voooomm...fab,fabp babp Fart, bab pfap pfabp pap.pop pop pop
The injected guys are pansies, and cry about it all the time like there is a problem!
with a aftermarket tuning device, one can change the injector "dead time" and eliminate it.
The popping itself doesn't hurt anything, it's just an indication that you could do better on your tuning. If you have a carburetor, I'd try and get it fixed so it runs betterduring those timesthat you're not decelerating. If you have fuel injection, you can change the deceleration fuel without affecting anything else. Injector dead time? [sm=smiley5.gif]
my bikes fuel injected and it pops a little and burbles when you come off the throttle. especially in the lower gears and thats the way it should be. Its those loud bangs that I think are the most annoying but mine veryrarely does that.( although even thats kinda cool once in a while)
Popping is fine...EXCEPT......it means your slow jet or so called pilot jet is too small. If you are at 42-45, try a 48. Popping means LEAN, and that means heat and potential problems. Not to mention excessive pipe "bluing"
