I basically posted the same question in the Dyna section, but here seems more appropriate. I am waiting for my "real" pipes to be fabricated, at which point I will do the SERT, Dyno, and some moderate internals. In the meantime I am doing the big-sucker A/C and got ahold of a friend's old SEII slip-ons. Now there is no map for this setup per-se, because the SEIIs are no longer Street Legal in all 50 I guess. So, the question, what is the closest map I can come by? The guys at the HD service assured me that they could find a map close enough. The guys who responded in the Dyna forum were weary of this. I don't understand how it can run fine right now (just the slip-ons), but having a remap for say the A/C matched with new SEs would be too lean... It seems like to tune should be just as "off" as it is now...
Has anyone had a map and big sucker A/C matched to SEIIs on an 07/08? My understanding is that the A/C has much more impact than exhaust choice, especially when we are talking about the differences between slip-ons, really, how different can they be? Epecially when I know that the SEIIs work okay replacing the stock slip-ons with no remap.
I've got the older SE II slip ons and SE AC on my 08 SG and I had a friend at the dealer do a 103"download cuz he didnt think the standard stage 1 download would be fat (rich) enough. Its seems to be running good. The mid is def better.
