chinahanji, I checked out the first site (the second one didn't work, go figure). I can most definitely believe that you guys are making your parts cheaper than Cummins. It's not like you had to do a lot of research and development. I'm guessing your R&D department has a very nice computer hooked up to one of those motorised arms. Bring the actual Cummins parts in, take them apart, copy with the very nice computer, make new super duper chinahanji parts for "almost one tenth of the product which made in USA". Isn't that lovely. I only wish you would build me a new Chinahanji Davidson.
LOL
Y'all are say'n that the twin cam is a better motor for big HP and TQ upgrades and I buy most of what your saying but... I am thinking of buying a bagger, either and evo model and putting in a Power House 114 {over square motor an baker 6speed} or getting a new twin cam bagger. What would be better for the long haul, 2up riding... Keep in mind my little 96 80" EVO puts out 90/90 and has well over 80k miles on it...
S&S sells a complete 124" TC engine. They claim about 128hp@6,000, and 138 ft/lb@4,000. I have heard that their published dyno charts are very conservative. And if you really wanted that magic 140hp, they could probably give it to you.
I don;t know what the cost is, I'm sure it's more than $5K. But it will last forever. The S&S cases are made for big bores, big strokes, and big numbers. The stock cases are not.
I have found the S & S Dyno #'s to be a dead-on match for what's coming off my dyno. I have 2 TC 124" S & S motors that will be getting on the Dyno real soon. One of the TC 124's has a little twist to it. It's wearing S.E. 103 Heads, their punched out pretty good to let her breathe & we dropped the cam to a 625G instead of the 640G in an attempt to gain more mid-range & help the valvetrain last alittle longer. It's in a Ultra that's why we went w/the cam change. I'll post the results from the Dyno when it happens

It is a new motor but "This is an awesome motor & was originally sitting in our showroom bike but the frame sold." So it is possible that Ultima changed carbs since this motor was assembled. It's sold now.
I just wanted to say this was a good read......until I got to this part. And yes I am raising a dead post, bin me.

it will easily make 127hp @ the rear...with the autoclutch it spanks HI-Abusee's from light to light, leaving them agasp......bike weighs almost 700lbs and hauls ***
Bullshit and I am calling it.First off the rider makes the race so if your racing squidly didly pimple faced kids then disregard the rest of this post. If your racing a guy who knows his machine read on.
The simple facts
Your bike weighs 700lbs and makes 127HP and130 ft lb (I'm guessing here)
The HI-Abusee's 453lbs and makes 175HP and 128 ft lb
Now you can talk torque and gearing and grip and this and that, comon man. I love Harley's but I can not read that BS and let it fly. Fact of the matter is, your not beating a Busa, PERIOD.
I have a 130cu.in. I had to have it rebuilt after 4000 miles due to the piston skirts were scarring the jugs. But after that was fixed it has been ok. But now my base gaskets are leaking and I feel I should have used a better gasket. But with all that said it runs like a drag bike when needed. Mark
