Default engine running sluggish

I replaced the cam tensioners and cam chains on a 2000 Road King. I also installed screaming eagle adj push rods at 2 1/2 turns. Now the engine seems real sluggish in first gear and when shifting to second it seems to acc ok. It also seems sluggish when free wheeling the engine. The check engine lite comes on and goes off. When the engine warms up it seems to run ok, maybe a little sluggish at highway speeds. Could I have not lined the timing marks on the cams right? I call myself looking at them real close but never say never. SORRY ABOUT THE DOUBLE POSTING, YOU KNOW HOW THESE NEW KIDS ARE AND I DONT KNOW HOW TO DELETE ONE OF THEM
